"I used K9 Training Institute on..."
I used K9 Training Institute on my phone and had a good experience. The site loaded fast, and I didn’t run into any annoying pop-ups or pages freezing on me. Everything was easy to find without having to pinch and zoom all over the place. From using it myself, it felt smooth and mobile-friendly. No complaints from me.

"Pretty good for the price"
Price felt fair. Got what I needed. Not perfect, no. But still worth it overall.

"I can see this working well for..."
I can see this working well for calmer dogs, but it really wasn’t a great fit for mine. Not saying it’s a scam, but I expected it to handle a more energetic dog better than it did.

"I just did the free K9TI..."
I just did the free K9TI workshop recently, so it’s still fresh in my mind, but I thought it was worth checking out. I picked up a few practical tips I’ve already been trying with my dog. Some of it felt a little basic, especially if you’ve done training before, but there were still enough useful takeaways that I’m glad I signed up.

"Canceling was actually easy"
I signed up for k9ti.org but ended up needing to cancel because my plans changed suddenly.

I thought it might turn into a whole thing but it was simple. I reached out got a clear response and they took care of the cancellation without making me go back and forth.
There were no random charges after which I really appreciated. Overall they handled it quickly and fairly so I’d give them 5 stars

"Helped My Dog Listen a Little Better"
I noticed my dog pays attention a bit more now, so training feels easier than before. He still barks a lot sometimes, but overall it has helped a little.

"Feeling a lot more confident with my dog"
I was nervous about handling my dog before I found k9ti.org, but the lessons really helped things feel more manageable. They were clear and practical, not overly complicated, which made it easier to actually try the tips at home. I will say, I still had a few moments where I wished I had a little more guidance on what to do when things didn’t go perfectly, since I’m definitely still learning. But overall, it’s made a big difference. I feel calmer and more in control now, and my dog seems to respond better when I’m not so stressed...

"Trainer really knew his stuff"
The trainer was really good and clearly knew what he was doing. My dog responded well, which was a relief because I wasn’t totally sure how it would go at first. Anyway, it ended up being a helpful experience overall...

"Billing seemed clear enough upfront"
I signed up for k9ti.org mainly because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to get hit with random charges later. The price was shown clearly before I paid, and the receipt matched what I expected, so that was reassuring.
So far I haven’t noticed any weird add-ons or hidden fees. I’m still a little unsure about the overall quality until I use it more, but at least the billing side feels straightforward. The renewal info was easy to find in my account too, which made me trust it a bit more.

"Good Course, BuT Some Parts Felt Kinda Basic"
I thought the lessons were clear overall and easy to follow. A few sections did feel a little too short though, like they could’ve gone into More Detail. Still, it was a decent course and I picked up some useful stuff.

"Pretty helpful for common dog behavior stuff"
I thought the course was, you know, good overall. It went over a lot of the usual dog behavior issues like barking, jumping, and pulling on the leash, which was exactly what I was looking for. Some of it felt a little basic, but it was easy to follow and gave me a few practical things to actually try with my dog. So yeah, overall I’m happy I took it.

"Refund process was surprisingly smooth"
I’ll give them credit, the refund process ended up being easy. I had signed up for the wrong thing and had to reach out, which was a little annoying and totally not how I wanted to spend my time. But they replied quickly and sent the money back without making it a hassle, so overall I’m happy with how they handled it.

"The lessons brought back that feeling of actually enjoying learning"
I really liked the pace of the lessons. They never felt rushed, but they also didn’t drag on or get boring. It reminded me of the kind of class where you suddenly realize you’re actually following along and enjoying it, which felt nice. The way everything is structured made it easy to keep going without that lost, overwhelmed feeling.

I’ll blame whoever runs this for finally making dog training feel doable. The steps were easy to follow, and they actually worked on my stubborn dog way faster than I expected.

"Surprisingly decent email replies"
I’d give K9 Training Institute 5 stars just for not making email support feel like a full-time job. They replied quickly and, shocking concept, actually answered the questions I asked instead of sending some copy-paste nonsense. Everything was clear, and I didn’t have to chase them around like it was a treasure hunt. Simple, easy, and exactly what I needed

"My pup responded really well after a few sessions"
I started using this training approach a couple weeks ago, and I noticed my pup picking things up without any yelling or harsh methods. By the end of the first few sessions, he was already calmer and more focused. It felt like a really positive way to teach him

"Clear, Honest Claims"
I really appreciated how easy the claims were to check, and they lined up with what was actually shown. It felt honest and straightforward to me, with no over-the-top promises or pushy messaging. Definitely grateful for that kind of transparency

K9 Training Institute Q&A

Does the training address marking in the house?

Can I train my 2 dogs at the same time. I have a 6 month old and a 4 year old.

Is this training appropriate for puppies? Our sweet pug is 4 months old. Thanks for your reply?

My dog, in a wireless fencing setting, will not come when called. He never goes beyond the boundaries. Will this program help?

Will this be effective for my six-month-old puppy who is eager to learn but may snarl or bite if we try to remove her from her dishwasher, chair, or certain items she finds?

“I am a canine behaviorist and trainer who is not affiliated with the K9 Training Institute in any way. Please be cautious and do not put your hands near her, as she may bite. To redirect her attention, use a high-value reward to lure her away from the item she is fixated on. Use a command like "here" as she leaves the item, and when she reaches you, praise her and give her the reward. Repeat this process. If she is on a chair, again use a high-value treat to lure her off. Once all four feet are off the chair, give her the reward, say "off," and praise her. Repeat as necessary. If it is always the same chair she is fixated on, you can place a box or something on it to prevent her from getting on it. If the chair is not too heavy, you can gently lift the back of the chair using the backrest to tip her off the front. Avoid getting into a confrontation with her. If she is guarding the dishwasher or any other object, consider keeping her on a trailing lead that you can use to draw her away without putting your hand near her mouth or challenging her. Always give commands, reward, and praise when she is in the desired location. However, do not leave her unattended with a trailing lead as she could get caught and hurt herself. If she has something in her mouth that you want back, swap it for something she can have, like a high-value treat. As soon as she lets go, say "leave" or "mine" and give her the treat. Again, remain calm and pleasant without confronting her. You are changing the situation from a confrontation to getting her to voluntarily engage in a different behavior and rewarding her for it. In summary, use your intelligence to achieve the desired action from her without using force or confrontation. Name the action at the exact moment she performs it, give a command, reward, and praise. Instead of stopping her from doing something by scolding her, you are gaining her cooperation in doing something else on command and rewarding her for being clever. It would be helpful to teach her the "leave it" command, which you can find instructions for by searching online. Best of luck with her. Kathryn”
